センター予想問題 — 問3A・会話文の空欄補充

センター試験の予想問題は問1・問2が終わって、今日から最後の文法問題である問3に入ります。センター試験では問３はA・B・Cと3タイプから成り、今日のタイプAは会話文の空所補充問題です。

タイプBはぐっと難しくなって、少し長めの文章を読ませ、複数の選択肢の中から削除すべき内容相違の文章を選ぶというもの。タイプCは講義やディスカッションを元にした長めの会話文で、タイプAを長く難しくした感じです。

一方、最初のタイプAは実はかなり簡単です。なぜなら

• 空欄に入れる選択肢の内容が、それぞれ異なる（つまり細かい文法を聞くのではなく、内容の理解を問うだけ）
• 空欄までにいくつも会話文があり、何の話をしているのか分かる
• 空所のすぐ後に、決定的といえるヒントが書いてある

という特徴があるから。たった2問だけですから、2分で解答してください。最初に空欄のすぐ次の文から読むと、正答率が高くなりますよ。On your mark, ready, set, go!

A 次の問い（問1・問2）の会話の空所A・Bに入れるのに最も適当なものを、それぞれ下の①～④のうちから一つずつ選べ。

問1

Mom: Have you packed your bag for the trip?  I cannot deliver your shoes like I did last time.

Jimmy: Yes, I have.  I am a big boy now.  Have some faith in me, mom.

Mom:  Alright, big boy.  But what about an umbrella?  You don't like getting wet in the rain, do you?

Jimmy: Oh,               A                  The weather forecast says that we will have a clear sky throughout the week.

① I completely forgot about it!

② I think it won't be necessary.

Peter: Hey, Susan.  Have you finished your exam?  How did it go?

Susan:  Don't even ask... Math was impossible and I couldn't even finish it.  Really worried about the grade as I may fail it this time.
